Our focus on safety, permanent employment with payment on time and according to agreements as well as development opportunities and exciting assignments – these are all reasons why our staff appreciate working for XERVON.
Are you curious about constructions, eager to take responsibility, willing to pitch in and happy to spend your days a bit higher up than most others? Are you appreciated for your people skills, focused on safety and eager to leave behind a really good job?
At XERVON we are always interested in getting in touch with talented scaffolders and those who want nothing more than to become just that. Get in touch with one of our regional managers and tell us more about your plans. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn. We usually post our job opportunities there first.
Lars-Olof Ericson in Örebro began his career in scaffolding more than 15 years ago as a way to make some extra money while working on his farm. Today, Lars-Olof is a full-time scaffolder and the farm is where he evenings and weekends. And this is just the way he likes it.
“This is a creative profession where it is important that you are challenged by problems and able to find solutions that work both technically and for the customer. Today I usually work as a responsible fitter on my projects and have the daily contact with the customer's site manager. Many people recognize me as I have been around for a while, ”says Lars-Olof.
“The fellowship with my colleagues is of course an important reason for why I have remained for so many years. We have a good team here and several of us occasionally help out in large projects elsewhere in the country. I am proud to be able to contribute with my knowledge and experience and I don’t mind working outdoors and stay fit - I don't think I've been sick more than two days since I started," Lars-Olof continues.
"All assignments have their charm but it is certainly awesome to be part of the really spectacular projects - like when we erected the scaffolds around Klara kyrka church in Stockholm at an altitude of 106 meters. Or the suspended scaffolds underneath the Västerbro bridge in Stockholm, or the giant weather protection construction we built above the concert hall in Örebro. I also like the really difficult projects - when there are many peaks and towers. Churches can be really tricky!”
Thomas Harryson works as project manager at XERVON and, unlike many of his colleagues, does not have a background as a scaffolding builder.
“After 12 years as fitter, subcontractor and then production manager in an insulation company, I felt that it was time to move on. I got in touch with XERVON and felt that this was right for me. Since 2013, I am focusing on new sales in the Stockholm area. The goal is to eventually be able to shoulder more of a supervising role in “my” projects,” says Thomas.
"My colleagues. I have felt welcome from day one. I know that my work is appreciated and the other experienced project managers are always there to help me if I need support. But in the end it is actually all the skilled scaffold builders out there that make the whole difference and my job easier. It's fun to go to work and it is a privilege going home at the end of every day feeling that I have learned something new.”
